Here you’ll find a small selection of my paintings completed over the recent few years. It is a snapshot of what I have created and I hope that it gives you an idea of some of the subjects I love to paint, my style and approach.
Marine art has been a love of mine throughout my life and I have been fortunate to have met with J Steven Dews, John Webster and Robert King; three artists whose work a greatly admire. Living right by the river Hamble in Hampshire allows me to absorb this environment every day and I have been racing on yachts and dinghies for most of my life.
Being based in Hampshire I’m also able to indulge in another passion; fly fishing. I belong to a club with four beats on the lower River Itchen and apart from providing good, fresh food when I can catch them it also gives me great inspiration for some of the landscape painting, too. It is often just being with the sights, sounds and smells of nature that relax me and help me start developing ideas for a new painting.
In addition to my portfolio of selected paintings, you will also find details along this sub-menu to find out how to commission me to create a painting for you, how a painting develops and also some of my photography along with a link to my specific photography website.
